Millcraft’s Ed Page to Serve as New President of BOMA Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, PA (January 20, 2022) Millcraft Investments is proud to announce that Senior Vice President of Property Management Ed Page has been named the new president of the board of directors for the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Pittsburgh. Since 1919, BOMA Pittsburgh has helped owners, managers, and service providers of commercial buildings maintain safe, efficient properties in Western Pennsylvania through their pillars of advocacy, networking, education, and community. BOMA Pittsburgh tracks laws, policies, trends, and other concerns and works together to achieve common solutions that improve building operations for all members, who operate over 32 million square feet of local commercial real estate. The organization is federated with BOMA International, giving members access to collective assistance on local, state, national, and international topics. Page brings a wealth of expertise to his presidency as a 19-year member of BOMA with over 40 years of experience in the local real estate and property management industry. He has been on the board of directors for seven years, where he has served on the Executive Committee and Young Professionals Committee, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to engaging with a new generation of building operators and managers. “I hope that during my time as president, BOMA and the executive committee will continue to collaborate a major push on educating the next generation of professionals to run the buildings, properties, and future projects in the Pittsburgh region and beyond. As we see more buildings being developed Downtown, we have an opportunity to grow our network, provide stronger support, and covey a clear message about the work that BOMA does locally and nationally through education, advocacy, networking, and philanthropy,” said Page. During his time as vice president, the organization advanced their advocacy agenda by securing seats for BOMA on both the State of Pennsylvania Elevator Industrial Board and the Universal Construction Code Review & Advisory Council (RAC), which review statewide codes and standards before they become law. Their local advocacy efforts also allowed members to continue to uphold safety and security standards without additional undue financial burden with the overturning of the Safe and Secure Building Act in 2019. BOMA Pittsburgh also helped write Pennsylvania House Bill 409 (2017), which enabled flexibility in elevator inspection hours to minimize disruptions to buildings and enhance safety during traditional working hours. “I am excited to continue to work with Mr. Page and I am looking forward to seeing what BOMA Pittsburgh will accomplish under his leadership as the organization’s new president,” said Amanda Schaub, Executive Director of BOMA Pittsburgh. In his 12 years with Millcraft Investments, during which the company invested over $500 million in Downtown redevelopment projects, Page has managed and revitalized the company’s entire property management and building operations portfolio. Among his many accomplishments, he has implemented new preventative maintenance procedures, introduced efficiency software, and negotiated complex contracts and vendor services. He has also developed local, state, and federal agency relationships for continued advocacy. “Pittsburgh’s iconic skyline represents our city and the buildings that make up that skyline are represented by BOMA,” said Millcraft CEO Lucas Piatt. “We’re proud that Ed Page will be representing Millcraft as the president of this important organization that provides a supportive community so that Pittsburghers have safe, modern, and sustainable places to work, live, and play, which helps our workforce and economy grow together.”
