In 2009, Piatt Companies purchased the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania office building that runs along the Monongahela River at the heart of the Downtown skyline as one of their first investments in Downtown’s revitalization. The 16-story 1950s-era building was repurposed into the Apartments at River Vue, a landmark residential building with 218 upscale apartments, modern luxury amenities, and iconic views across from Point State Park.
The Apartments at River Vue opened in 2012 following the $45.5 million renovation and was fully occupied within 10 months. Piatt Companies transferred management in 2021 while retaining an ownership stake after maintaining this premier urban living experience. It is now called the Apartments at River View.
