Ribbon Cutting Marks Opening of Hilton Garden Inn Beaver Valley

Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh Area/Beaver Valley and Jacksons Restaurant + Bar celebrated a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening party on Thursday, October 24th, 2019 featuring local elected officials and co-hosted by the Beaver County Chamber of Commerce.

The hotel/restaurant is the latest development project by Millcraft Hotel Division. The hotel brings 139 guest rooms and 2,600 square feet of private event space to Beaver County. Located adjacent to the hotel, Jacksons Restaurant + Bar features seating for more than two-hundred guests and additional banquet space. The hotel and restaurant bring nearly 100 new job opportunities to the region.

The facility is Millcraft’s second hotel in Monaca, having launched the Home2 Suites Pittsburgh Area/Beaver Valley in 2017. “I felt strongly about the decision to invest in Beaver County—even before the Shell plant was guaranteed to be happening,” said Marcus Piatt, President of Millcraft Hotel Division. “With the proximity of Columbia Gas and other positive market signals, we were confident that this was the right place to build a hotel.”

Millcraft Hotel Division has grown significantly in recent years. The group’s portfolio now includes six regional hotels. “In addition to our current properties, we have three hotels in various stages of development in the Pittsburgh region. We are working on partnerships that will expand us outside of the Western Pennsylvania region,” said Piatt.

The restaurant/hotel concept is modeled after Millcraft’s popular Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe and Jacksons location in Washington County off Interstate 79. The hospitality group has enjoyed profound success with the hotel and restaurant duo popular with both business travelers attracted to the growing regional energy sector and local residents looking for comfortable and upscale accommodations and dining.

“The recent growth in this area parallels what we saw over a decade ago in Washington County. The demand for housing, commercial development and growing interest in the area was something that sparked the building of Southpointe—now a premier regional business complex and the location of our flagship Hilton Garden Inn hotel,” added Piatt.

“We are excited to officially welcome HGI and Jacksons to our county,” said Helen Kissick, Vice Chairperson, Beaver County Chamber of Commerce. “Having such a top notch hotel and restaurant added to serve the many residents and visitors to this region is a feather in the cap of this rapidly developing and evolving area. Having personally sampled the delicious food and drink in such an upscale environment while overlooking the river and all of its developments makes you realize just how good a place Beaver County is these days to live, work and play. Congratulations to all involved in having this dream and project become a reality!”

Located off the Monaca exit of Interstate 376, the stylish hotel overlooks the Shell Polymers plant and Ohio River. The location provides easy access to Penn State Beaver campus and local shopping. Pittsburgh Airport is just 20 minutes away and it’s an easy drive to downtown Pittsburgh museums and professional sports.

The newly designed hotel rooms provide complimentary WiFi, a coffee maker, mini refrigerator, microwave and other services to simplify guest visits. Elegant suites are available, offering additional space and luxury finishes.

Events by Jacksons offers guests a modern event space and menu based upon the fresh, seasonal fare served next door at Jackson’s Restaurant + Bar. The space is ideal for luncheons, networking events, weddings and social gatherings of up to 150 guests.

The second of its owned and operated Jacksons Restaurant + Bar locations, the restaurant offers seating for 200+ guests in an inviting and modern space, including a refined dining room, extensive outdoor patio with fire pit, and modern bar area. The menu offers something for everyone. Jacksons $10 “Power Lunch” special includes a choice of sandwich, side, and drink. At dinner, dining room guests can try entrée-driven fare, like the sustainably raised Skuna Bay salmon or a 24-ounce porterhouse steak.

Executive Chef Michael Ulizio leads the culinary team, crafting signature menu items like Jacksons Kataifi crusted crab cake, famous shrimp & chorizo chowder, and locally raised grass-fed steaks. The team prides itself on its seasonal “menu rollouts,” where new dishes are introduced based on seasonally-available ingredients. Jacksons also offers a selection of desserts, all made on-site and from scratch.

Jacksons is open Monday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and is closed Sundays. The restaurant is located at 2000 Wagner Road Extension South in Monaca, Pennsylvania. Reservations can be booked online at jacksonsbeavervalley.com.
